I have always been keen on cars, and not a great deal else to be perfectly honest. Yes, bikes and music when I was  younger, but since I had my licence, it’s been driving all the way. Even at school when my classmates wanted to be solicitors and who knows what else, all I wanted to do was drive HGVs. Not done that yet but it is still on my list.

I live with my wife and three young girls in a village on the Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire border, here in the UK. I love where we live, as it has just about everything you could ask for, bar a killer climate and a good Greek restaurant nearby. My wife is a drama teacher in one of the top secondary schools in the county, my two eldest daughters go to a local catholic school and my youngest attends a Montessori nursery on a farm in another village.

All sounds pretty perfect perhaps, but I am not in search of perfection in life. In decorating and DIY yes, in life no. Interesting is usually good enough for me where life is concerned. I hope that ‘interesting’ is the one word that will ring true for this blog as it unfolds.
