Up at BCA Measham last week for the car auctions there, I spotted this Beetle in the car park. Have been meaning to ask what it went for – wonder what it was traded in against!
In other news, I am back in the land of the Golf GTi – just bought a 91/H 5dr 8v in black. Bit dull as has been sitting under trees, and the wheels need to go, but taxed until May and MOTed until July, PAS with a roof and central locking and 45 mpg on the way home. Brilliant!
Just bought some 40mm lowering springs for it (£15 LOL) and am picking up some even lower (50mm) ones on Weds in Slough, so will have a look at both and decide what to keep. Think 40 is enough but we’ll see. Would like to go to the Eibach/Boge setup as that seems good bang for the buck, or if I spot some Konis/Bilsteins will jump on them.
