Due to unforseen circumstances though I'm now looking at the practicalities of moving back to the UK. In my time here I've had a bunch of older English cars, the two I still have are a '59 MGA and a '52 XK120. Both of these cars I have restored myself, ground up, and so I am "attached" especially in this current 'soft' market. If I entertain bringing these cars back to the UK, the shipping is easily quantified however, the rest of the possible costs, including "Import Duties" remain something of a grey area at the moment. I have been told, and these cars are both in near perfect condition, that UK customs will charge up to 15% of the cars value based upon their own assessment of what the car's are worth....
