Nick Taylor on the Porsche Youtube Channel

by John on April 5, 2011

Dad-to-be and great Porsche friend of yours truly, Nick Taylor, has made it to the Porsche Youtube Channel. Nick and dad Bryan are two of the enthusiasts talking about their personal meaning of Porsche, and the wonderful selection of cars brought to Phillip Island in Australia from Germany, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Porsche down under. The ever-ebullient Klaus Bischof also plays a starring role in the film.

Nick is such a total Porsche NUT, he and wife Tara flew to Spa last year, to do the TwinSpark Racing track day with us. Their ride was a wicked 3.2 Carrera Club Sport, bought before the occasion and now living in Australia.

It’s great to see father and son having fun in the sun, and standing next to their Carrera 3.0 race car. The Taylor clan own a few other Porsche cars, which I’m sure you’ll read about in a magazine one day, after I get down there to see them for myself.

Also totally cool to see friends from the other side of the world on the Porsche Youtube channel. It just shows how small this world of ours really is. Love it!

Hi John. I was at Phillip Island for the Classic & can I just reiterate what a THRILL it was to see those amazing cars rolling around the track, not to mention the sound & smell of them up close! The freedom that Porsche provided the average punter for access to not just the cars, but also to Klaus Bischof & Hans-Jurgen Eckert over the weekend was awesome! They were always available to chat, pose for photos & enthuse about the cars in their charge, and it is a great credit to Porsche Musuem to allow this rolling museum to journey around the world! My own Porsche experience is a relatively recent one (if you can call 20 years recent) but to see my 12-year-old son's eyes pop when they started up the 908 will live with me for a lifetime. I am sure he will be hooked for life also!

And please DO make sure you venture down under one day John, not only for the amazing cars that are tucked away all over the place (Ian Henderson's collection of genuine racing porsches will blow you mind!!), but for the great driving roads & proper (read COLD) beer we serve also. LOL. Hope to see you here one day!
