I like the lurid solid colours rather than modern metallics, mind you if I could pick any Porsche it would be a 917 in Gulf colours.
I've never owned a Porsche but love the 356 especially the Roadsters, and the 73 RS.
I have to make do with a BMW 135 M Sport Coupe, and a Cadillac BLS for daily drudgery.
What woould make the Porsches more appealing is a more enlightened view on speed in the UK. What a joy it is to hammer down the autobahn not scanning every bridge and BMW estate for Rozzers….I should have been born 10 years earlier.
You can still have fun these days. I whizzed cross country in the Subaru the other day at decent pace. Pick the time and place, make sure you have space, and it is doable. The best thing about classic Porsches is you don't have to be absolutely on it to feel involved. You can be doing the legal limit on the right road and it can still be a buzz.
