I’m a desperate sucker for terriers on TV. Watching Rick Stein reminiscing tonight, I learned that he recently lost his faithful buddy, Chalky.
I love the Rick Stein shows (if I ever make some money I am doing that barge through France thing), and Chalky the Jack Russell was always part of the craic for me. So I’ll just say a little RIP to Chalky, up there in doggie heaven, and hello from one of his shaggy-coated cousins down here, who is curled up next to me on the sofa and just plugged the laptop out in his sleep, feckin’ eejit that he is.
Man’s best friend definitely has four legs and a waggy tail – say hello to yours from us. Think I’ll raise a glass of my fine Bushmills to old Chalky boy – any excuse! Here’s a bit of video:
