Ruf Road Trip

by John on August 20, 2009

Professional photographer and 911 owner Claire-Jessica Weait sent me over some fantastic pictures from a recent trip into Belgium and Germany with her good friend Andrew, who has just bought a rare Ruf SCR here in the UK. The intrepid road trippers took the car to be verified as a genuine Ruf, as it duly was by none other than the very charming Alois himself at Pfaffenhausen, then onto the Nurburgring and the new Porsche Museum. Last stop was at the old Reims GP track, which is always a nice spot for a photo.

The lady is a genius with a camera, so no surprise to see her so-called “snaps” are a great memento of what sounds like a proper blast. Jessica’s no slouch behind the wheel either, and describes the SCR as running bundles of torque, handling well and having great brakes – I’ll have to check that out when I hopefully get to drive the car in the near future.
