Shipping Update: Friday 27/11

by John on November 27, 2009

Having been anchored off the coast of Rotterdam all day yesterday, following a great run across the Atlantic, the Hapag Lloyd Sormiou is now in Rotterdam, just under 24 hours ahead of schedule. I dunno the ins and outs of what they have to do once in port (pick up and drop off I presume, and perhaps some random debauchery if time allows), but I guess it will be under way to London pretty soon. Am loving this – really cool tracking this thing across our tiny world. This is the ship as seen on the Guernsey AIS site, moored in Alexanderhaven:

I have also been chatting with someone about maybe selling the car when it is UK legal and ready to rock, so who knows: I may do the whole process again sometime in 2010. I’m going to build my new garage first though.

I’m actually kind of tempted to sell all my cars and start again from scratch, get myself another SC Cabriolet and take it from there. Oh, the things you think about when you’re just on the edge of a week’s holiday!
