I had a ton of eBay listed last week. Most of it sold, which was the intention, and it all appears to have gone to to good homes.
A few people have asked after my H1s. They went to Historika, the British Porsche specialists. The lights were picked up in person, and it was good to catch up on what the boys are doing.
Some parts went to Europe: the enamel Porsche Club of America badge went to Germany. Here’s the car it’s going on.
It’s a backdate project on a 3.2 Carrera. The owner bought it unfinished and has bolted it back together with some nice parts attached, but it’s the paint that gives me the biggest buzz.
Gold is such a great colour on a classic 911 – that Cadillac Gold on the early cars always freaks me out. This is a mix of early Copper Gold and the latest 997 colour, Nordic Gold metallic. I think it works beautifully with the matt front and rear lids.
The owner tells me that the next jobs on the to-do list are anodising the Fuchs rims to take some bling off, and swapping to orange front lenses (the rears have now been done). A future feature car, for sure!

That's a great colour and it makes a nice change to see a retro 911 that isn't white!
Hey Jonh, the green car that shows on Historika's home page is a very famous Portuguese car called "Bomba Verde" ("Green Bomb")! Take care and keep it up buddy!
